I’m back! Had a wonderful trip filled with lots of strudel (when in Austria…) and some much needed time off the radar. My fave part of traveling is seeing all the differences in everyday items (newspapers are pink! sugar packets are long + thin!) etc. I pretty much nerd out on all products and packaging. Hence, a normal candy bar looks exotic and purchase-worthy.
Thanks to a customer recommendation (Keri, you rule), I heard about the amazing Manufactum shop in Munich, Germany. It’s a giant general store filled with simple, utilitarian, well-designed goods. They carry everything from axes to wool socks to cooking supplies to linens to fresh bread + coffee. Of course, I zeroed in on the paper and office supply section. I fell in love with these KOH-I-NOOR pencils from the Czech Republic. So fun, right? I have a few more finds that I will be sharing over the next week as well. And with that… back to reality!
