Hope you all have a fun + relaxing holiday weekend. I’m hoping to do some exploring and enjoy some of my favorite Vermont towns and places over the next few days. The Vermont City Marathon is in Burlington on Sunday - I love how alive the city becomes. Good luck to all the runners! And cheers to the start of SUMMER!

Hey, buds. Long time no blog. Been working on a bunch of projects and it’s gotten a little crazy around here! I am looking forward to making photo shoots and posting a part of my regular schedule again (also looking forward to a regular schedule - summer 2012 goal). In the meantime, here’s a glimpse of some hand-lettering and illustrations from the past few weeks. These are all from different projects and taken entirely out of context, which I love doing once in awhile. Keeps me on my toes and reminds me to push the envelope in terms of variety… all while keeping things consistent in an underlying way. The eternal struggle, right?!

Hope you’re all having a lovely spring so far. Summer is right around the corner and I’m psyched. While the blog has been (sadly) neglected of late, I’ve been giving Instagram lots of love. Follow me there for daily updates + inspirations (I’m addicted).

I was delighted to create this custom stamp for a couple who is getting married this fall. Their ceremony will take place under a tree in a beautiful wooded park, with their reception moving to an artist studio on the grounds afterward (sounds amazing!). The hand-lettering is clean + slightly bold to reflect the industrial studio, while the ring of leaves represents the nature surrounding them. The stamp is sized to work on a variety of pieces - envelopes, favor tags, thank you cards, etc. Keeping it free of the wedding date or location means it can be used for years to come, too. Congrats P & L!

P.S. I had a lot of fun with this one so I am considering designing a few customizable logo stamps to add to the shop one day… stay tuned!

I adore this new children’s book by artist Tom Slaughter. I recently picked one up for my niece (and yes - a copy for myself, how could I not??). The book is bright, happy, graphic, and of course - nautical. Different types of boats are revealed through clues + fold-out poster pages. Each poster is literally a work of art in itself. Below is a peek at the cover and a couple of the inside pages. Boat Works is available for purchase on amazon or find it at your local bookstore through Indie Bound.

The latest custom home stamp is for a lovely customer whom I got to know a bit through our correspondence. While working on her stamp, she happened to be traveling home from a trip to Germany just as I was going there. I believe that’s what the Germans would call a “glucklicher zufall.” I have Keri to thank for her generous (not to mention spot-on) Munich recommendations, including the amazing Manufactum shop that I posted about here and here

*Please note that the address has been removed from the photos for the sake of privacy. (I will be doing this for all home stamps from now on). Custom home stamps usually include a full mailing address, with names being optional. For more information, please check out the shop. Thank you!

I am beyond thrilled and honored to contribute to the Martha Stewart Weddings blog today! I created these geometric wish cards to coincide with the lemon + mint color palette featured in the latest mag (Martha Stewart Weddings, Spring 2012, pages 261-272). Click HERE to check out the full post.

*What?! Is this real? Pinch me. Big thanks to MSW for including me!

P.S. These are really easy to make + effortless for guests, I swear. You can’t mess the pattern up - the more random, the better, actually!

Warm temps, open windows, + bright colors. Is there anything more rejuvenating than spring? To kick the season off, I added these goods by the super talented Tokketok + One Fine Dae to my collection. If these fun notecards + summer-inspired pencils don’t cheer you up, then I don’t know what will. Seriously. (Maybe the button candy??)

Just posted my new birthday rubber stamp to the shop! I am really excited about this product + think you will find it quite handy. It’s the perfect little stamp to create your own birthday cards, custom wrapping, party favors, + decor. Every day is someone’s birthday and as the scouts say… BE PREPARED!

Have a great weekend, everyone!

I was delighted to create this logo for House & Fig, a blog focused on the renovation of a San Francisco home. I can only imagine what an undertaking home construction and renovation must be, so it’s fun (and enlightening!) to get a peek behind the scenes. The blog also features resources, inspiration, and DIY projects. Big thanks to Sarah! Check out her wonderful photography at Modern Kids Co.

I have been pining after these beautiful scissors ever since Chelsea of Frolic! included them in her Gifts Under $15 roundup during the holidays. They are made by a Chinese scissor + knife company that has been in continuous operation since 1663 (1663!). Unfortunately, they were out of stock the first time I went to buy them but I was psyched to come across them again this week. I purchased them online from Brook Farm General Store, a Brooklyn shop that has been on my must-visit-in-person list for awhile.

Happy Easter + Passover to those who are celebrating, and happy weekend to all! See you next week.
