Saying goodbye to summer with a few lakeside + nautical pics from the season… Oh how I love thee, Lake Champlain.

P.S. Can you tell I like boats?! I find them endlessly fascinating and have become such a dock/shipyard groupie this summer. They are so fun to explore and I always walk away inspired. I mean, just look at those colors. And don’t even get me started on the flags + type.
P.P.S. Send your friends an official farewell to summer with these postcards I created for Frolic! last year. Available for download here.

A few of my favorite pics from this summer in Vermont… sometimes the best adventures are had close to home.

Hope you all have a fun + relaxing holiday tomorrow. To celebrate the 4th, I’ve got a couple of my nautical prints on sale over at Uncovet. The Adventure Begins + Nautical Flags are being offered as a pair, at a discounted price (both are 5” x 7”). Uncovet digs up some pretty rad products for its members and is free to join. My prints will be available for just a few days so check them out here if you’re interested. Thank you!

I have been a big fan of Vermont Farm Table since their retail shop opened in downtown Burlington last year. I think I actually gasped when I saw the storefront for the first time (for shop pics, check out my guest post on Paper Pastries last Spring). So I was psyched when they asked me to design customer cards for the shop. We did a couple of versions — one featured illustrations of a few of their key product categories: tables, benches, rolling pins, + cutting boards. The other had space for notes so customers could jot down measurements, etc. while browsing. The front of both cards featured the barn/workshop of Vermont Farm Table owner and founder, Dustin Glasscoe. It has been so nice to collaborate locally with a company that I respect and admire… big thanks to Dustin, Cami, and Will. Stay tuned for more projects down the line.

For more Vermont Farm Table goodness, check out the sneak peek of Jess + Dustin Glasscoe’s home on Design*Sponge!
P.S. I shot these pics on my go-to cutting board (above) that I use everyday. It’s made of reclaimed wood and is the perfect size if you’re short on counter space (or if your counters are now stamping + painting stations like mine). The cutting boards are available in the shop on College St. now and I believe will be online soon.

Love what my friend Cristin is doing with her Syrup Souvenir Shop — making rad, well-designed Vermont goods that locals are clamoring for as much as visitors. You may have seen her selling from her beautifully made cart on Upper Church Street in Burlington. If you can’t make it downtown, she has an online shop as well. I am loving the beanie + patch I picked up this fall! So much good stuff — I am thinking of getting the infant romper for my niece next. Spread the VT pride.

On another VT note — I would like to give a huge thanks to Kathryn Flagg + Seven Days for their wonderful and humbling article on my studio in this week’s paper! It is such a thrill to have my wedding work be a part of this year’s “Love and Marriage” issue. I have literally read Seven Days each week without fail since I moved here 8+ years ago… Needless to say, it is quite surreal to be featured! Check out the article here.

Letterpress print from the Shelburne Museum Printing Shop. After demonstrating his technique, the printer handed out free samples, including the one below (um, score). Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Vermont next summer (open May-October).

Stowe, Vermont holds a special place in my heart so it was SO FUN to create these save the date postcards for Jessica + Dan. They are getting married next spring at the lodge, with Mount Mansfield as their backdrop. Seriously, what more do you need.

P.S. Don’t you love these holiday evergreen stamps?

Another find from my trip to East Barre, VT a few weeks ago… These numbers came in a set (about ten of each) and were used to show prices in an old shop. I love their varsity-style type; they remind me of those classic manual scoreboards… I believe Fenway Park still has one.

Recently found this screenprint I made a couple years back during a class at Iskra Print Collective. The class was a great experience… came outta there with so much knowledge, utmost respect for the process, + sore arms (that squeegee ain’t as easy as it looks, my friends).

Printed with silver metallic + black inks on wood paper.
Be sure to check out Iskra’s shop… amazing gig posters.
