CUSTOM LOGO STAMP

I was delighted to create this custom stamp for a couple who is getting married this fall. Their ceremony will take place under a tree in a beautiful wooded park, with their reception moving to an artist studio on the grounds afterward (sounds amazing!). The hand-lettering is clean + slightly bold to reflect the industrial studio, while the ring of leaves represents the nature surrounding them. The stamp is sized to work on a variety of pieces - envelopes, favor tags, thank you cards, etc. Keeping it free of the wedding date or location means it can be used for years to come, too. Congrats P & L!

P.S. I had a lot of fun with this one so I am considering designing a few customizable logo stamps to add to the shop one day… stay tuned!

NEW IN THE SHOP!

Just posted my new birthday rubber stamp to the shop! I am really excited about this product + think you will find it quite handy. It’s the perfect little stamp to create your own birthday cards, custom wrapping, party favors, + decor. Every day is someone’s birthday and as the scouts say… BE PREPARED.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

HOUSE & FIG

I was delighted to create this logo for House & Fig, a blog focused on the renovation of a San Francisco home. I can only imagine what an undertaking home construction and renovation must be, so it’s fun (and enlightening!) to get a peek behind the scenes. The blog also features resources, inspiration, and DIY projects. Big thanks to Sarah! Check out her wonderful photography at Modern Kids Co.

INSTAGRAM

After holding out for awhile (skeptical? stubborn?), I finally joined Instagram a few weeks ago. Officially hooked ever since. Been sharing lots of work-in-progress shots, sketches, + other randomness. Find me here: @scoutshonorco.

VERMONT FARM TABLE

I have been a big fan of Vermont Farm Table since their retail shop opened in downtown Burlington last year. I think I actually gasped when I saw the storefront for the first time (for shop pics, check out my guest post on Paper Pastries last Spring). So I was psyched when they asked me to design customer cards for the shop. We did a couple of versions — one featured illustrations of a few of their key product categories: tables, benches, rolling pins, + cutting boards. The other had space for notes so customers could jot down measurements, etc. while browsing. The front of both cards featured the barn/workshop of Vermont Farm Table owner and founder, Dustin Glasscoe. It has been so nice to collaborate locally with a company that I respect and admire… big thanks to Dustin, Cami, and Will. Stay tuned for more projects down the line.

P.S. I shot these pics on my go-to cutting board (above) that I use everyday. It’s made of reclaimed wood and is the perfect size if you’re short on counter space (or if your counters are now stamping + painting stations like mine). The cutting boards are available in the shop on College St. now and I believe will be online soon.

DESTINATION: WEDDING

I’m on a travel kick lately as my last couple of posts have definitely been influenced by getting out of town for a bit. It must be the 80 degree temps in Vermont last week (somehow we’re back in the 30s already!)… Or perhaps it’s all the weddings I have been working on recently, each in its own unique location. Thought it would be fun to share a few of these destinations and how they were hand-lettered for their respective save the dates or invitations. I love seeing them all together and being reminded of the distinctive personalities of each wedding + couple.

ON ADVENTURE ISLAND

Really inspired by my new (old) book, which was a lovely surprise in the mail from my friend MWL. Getting mail is the best, but getting a package?! Next level. Perfect addition to my collection of books that I am shamelessly judging by their covers. Thanks, M!
